OT- in home sound system: sonos, Hompod, Echo or Google

trying to make a surround sound system for the tv in the den but also want music. Originally was thinking Sonos with sound bar and two speakers. However, since I am old (52) and have mostly apple products including Apple TV, I am now leaning towards getting two HomePod speakers. Individually they are more expensive at about $350each but that is cheaper than a Sonos sound bar and two sonos speakers. Anyone have advice on the two? Also, I know Alexa is better than Siri but I am more interested in sound quality than smart sound. Thanks in advance
