I created an SC BBQ survey a while back that about 1200 people have since submitted. There was an interesting finding early on: Hash didn't place in the top 3 sides.
When I posted this on the I Love SC BBQ Facebook group, a number of people said they didn't consider hash to be a side item. While I get that, I still found it surprising. In my mind, it definitely belongs on the survey as a side item, even if it is sometimes the star/co-star of the plate. That said, in Going Whole Hog, I didn't put in in the Sides section, but in a section all it's own. I guess I'm confused. 😉
