we rescued a black lab. was told at rescue he'd be a small one, 35-50 lbs. 5 years later he is 130 pounds. love labs.

I only adopt young adult rescues. I just don't wanna deal with chewed furniture/shoes/clothes and potty training. Too much work and frustration.

Congrats. Labs are one of the best breeds hands down. I had a yellow male that lived to sixteen and a black female that lived to fourteen. Had to put them both down a couple years apart from each other not to long ago and it almost killed me. Just a blessing to have them in my life that long. We have gone smaller now with Boston Terriers and they are awsome too. Still have a soft spot in my heart for labs.
