Based on reviews by some of you, I bought/read the book.
Disclaimers: I graduated CU 1976 (do the math). The last computer game I played was Pong or Pac Man, I forget. Never allowed any kind of Xbox or Gameboy or anything else like that in my house. And, as they say in "The Big Chill", there is no other music than The '70s.
I was able to grasp some of the TV and Movie references of the 80's. The story was interesting and generally enjoyed the read.
The thing that struck me was an uncomfortable feeling about how the future unfolded. One big computer/gaming society. People "drugged" by the internet. Nothing being produced, nothing moving forward, nothing being improved, nothing being invented, no REAL social interaction. Scared that may indeed be the future.
Flame away. Man of Steele
