I know this is peak football season, but maybe you need a change of pace.
This week Netflix released The Beakthrough, a four episode “mystery” based on a real crime committed in Sweden in 2004 that took 16 years to solve. The actors, storytelling, cinematography and sound track are all superb. Since it’s filmed in Sweden, the setting and mood are perfect for the weather we have right now.
The story does not focus on the crime scene (no blood and guts) as much as it does the impact on the team of detectives that are assigned to solve a double murder. If you like detective based books/films, you need to try The Breakthrough.
A forewarning, it’s only four episodes and if you start it this weekend you will most likely finish it this weekend.
