I remember several weeks/months ago, there was a spirited debate on this board about how to tip regarding food items.
I just got back from Arizona and this question got brought up again amongst my group.
How do you tip for a tour event?
EX:
- Fishing trip - how do you tip the captain?
- Guided Tour - how do you tip the guide tour?
- Golf - how do you tip a caddy?
We were in a Waldorf hotel and to get around, we had to go in golf carts everywhere. Admittedly, I didn't tip every time. Also, we didn't know how to tip the tour guide who showed us the Grand Canyon. The bus tour was expensive as hell in itself, and we had a group of five.
Does the rule of 20% apply to all things? Because that'd be like $200 in tips ....
