Using the logic I am seeing applied to the renaming process that was used at that moment in time and considering the new political correct environment I am suggesting we rename America due to the historical facts of Amerigo Vespucci having owned slaves in the 1400’s to a new name

This is of course tongue in cheek as I think that once we throw a snowball down the hill without considering the consequences the ensuing avalanche will be consequential

I hope so as political correctness is a double edged sword

The real loser here is the original American natives who were killed off the land or assimilated into the population many times in the most brutal of means

I want to see all sides of any discussion but at some point it becomes moot

English law and pretty much all forms of law developed by all civilizations had or have a statue of limitations and do not allow punishment of present or future generations by actions of the past which is history and not reality

At this point in my life I can only say WOW

Change can be a good thing

That is logical well thought out

the present mode of selling an idea is if at first you don’t succeed turn to burning looting violence.

I am really sad for us as a people that we are at this point and that reasonable thoughtful people are missing from the conversation and solutions

I agree! The avalanche of renaming some buildings will be significant! How will we ever survive this?
