I'm crossing one off of my bucketlist and going to go up to Pinehurst next month for the US Open. Anyone here have any advice or recommendations? Looks like Fayetteville is the closest place that we can find rooms. How bad is the traffic and shuttles to/from the course to the parking areas? Input/advice is welcome. I made it to The Open last year at Royal Liverpool and those folks had it running like a well oiled machine. I hope this is the same experience at Pinehurst.
And...any golf course recommendations in the Fayetteville area? IF (big if...probably waited too late) we can get a tee time on Thursday, we'd like to play somewhere decent in the area.
