That is great news. I think most have known for quite some time that the students would not be high risk for having a bad case of the virus. The issue is the faculty and staff at the universities. The professors and staff are considerably older and at a much higher risk.
Not sure what you're talking about? Other than just throwing out numbers that are completely untrue. UofSC had a positive rate of 17.3% last week. Here's a link to the dashboard if you don't believe me https://sc.edu/safety/coronavirus/d...EtHjcWVkDz-iEPSdhte8Amng5o5G2YiTvHm50DQGsSotQMy takeaway is that 200,000 students have been tested and the % positive is 5.5 but somehow in Richland County the % positive last week was around 40.
Wake up people. SCDHEC is a lying, corrupt agency that is purposely misleading the citizens of SC to peddle fear and make everyone believe Covid is out of control in our state. It isn't.

You just got a like from the dumbest engineer to ever walk this planet @CU91ENGR . I would rethink and delete my post if I were you. Thank God I’m not though, because that’s fvckin’ embarrassing.SC reports twice as many deaths per million residents than NC. But yea, SC is well under control.
SCDHEC reporting is so corrupt and rotten I can smell it in Georgia. How many negative test did they not report? 30,000My takeaway is that 200,000 students have been tested and the % positive is 5.5 but somehow in Richland County the % positive last week was around 40.

So we are going to have 2.2 million deaths! I knew it!SC reports twice as many deaths per million residents than NC. But yea, SC is well under control.
While I don't always agree with CU91ENGR, he simply countered exaggerated numbers with current facts and basic math. I'd have done the same thing. We can debate the accuracy of DHEC's numbers. But basic math is basic math. You just got a like from the dumbest engineer to ever walk this planet @CU91ENGR . I would rethink and delete my post if I were you. No it’s Covid season. You give it a rest. DHEC misreports dataWhile I don't always agree with CU91ENGR, he simply countered exaggerated numbers with current facts and basic math. I'd have done the same thing. We can debate the accuracy of DHEC's numbers. But basic math is basic math.
What's really fvckin' embarrassing your constant posts that add nothing to a thread. We got it. You think COVID is political. So do I. Give it a rest. It's football season.

Richland County had 1528 new positives last week. So, by you're BS 40% crap, they only had 3820 tests? There were 4223 tests at UofSC last week alone. So, I guess there were negative 403 tests taken in the rest of Richland County last week. Makes sense.
DEHC is full of liberal employees. I have a good friend that works for them. He says he is one of only a few conservatives and estimates it to be 95% liberals. Of course they are misreporting data.My takeaway is that 200,000 students have been tested and the % positive is 5.5 but somehow in Richland County the % positive last week was around 40.

You are aware that multiple hospitals and labs have told WYFF that they were told by SC DHEC to only report positive tests since March 26th???????????Not sure what you're talking about? lol you might as well be talking to a pea gravel. That pea brain @CU91ENGR is incapable of rational thought. You are aware that multiple hospitals and labs have told WYFF that they were told by SC DHEC to only report positive tests since March 26th???????????
OK, so show me a report that says Richland Cty. reported 40% positive last week. Because it doesn't exist, except for in the minds of those that make it up.You are aware that multiple hospitals and labs have told WYFF that they were told by SC DHEC to only report positive tests since March 26th???????????
LMAO...so in a state that is approximately 60% republican, the SCDHEC managed to hire 95% Democrats. Are you really this ignorant? I bet it's a question on the job application: are you a Democrat...if not, no need to apply. Go crawl back under you rock in BFE Georgia.DEHC is full of liberal employees. I'll help you out a little. Here's the SCDHEC link to county testing. Richland County shows 17.1% positivity rate last week. Not 40%. You have to click on Richland County and change the dates to last week. https://www.scdhec.gov/infectious-d...-19/south-carolina-county-level-data-covid-19I'm not home right now but when I get there I'll follow up with some info for you.
Basically, if you go to the USC dashboard for the week you will see about 12,000 tests done and like 1500 positives. Then if you look at Richland County for that week they only reported 3500 tests performed but all the positives are counted.
I'm not just making stuff up.
Life expectancy in the USA is age 78. Median age of Deaths from Covid-19 in SC is 78. Is this disease killing anyone? Seriously doesn’t look like it. This is the biggest hoax ever played on the American public!I'll help you out a little. Here's the SCDHEC link to county testing. Richland County shows 17.1% positivity rate last week. Not 40%. Ouch @CU91ENGR wont be back to this thread lolWhat are you looking at?
Week ending Aug. 29th the positivity rate was 37.1%
The last week Richland was even below 17.1% was the week ending June 27th.
Further, their positivity rate since this began is 20.8%
I think you should check your numbers.
Anyway, these pictures should tell you all you need to know about what DHEC is doing.
Here you go: from 8/25-8-31 DHEC reported 3334 tests run in Richland County and a 40% positivity rate. Well, according to the USC dashboard, they ran 5,000 tests just on campus from 8/26 to 8/31.
For August, DHEC reports just over 15,000 tests for Richland County, which means the test rate is around 27 tests per 1000 people, which is just below the state average of 34. Makes perfect sense until you notice that USC ran 12,000 tests in August just on campus. Those numbers aren't reported anywhere. But you can bet they reported the 1100+ cases that USC had just from 8/26-8/31.
SC reports twice as many deaths per million residents than NC. But yea, SC is well under control.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE LONG TERM ISSUES!!!So what’s the death rate?
Ouch @CU91ENGR wont be back to this thread lol
