Kenny extends plays and has a clean game. 250 yards with 2 passing and 1 rushing touchdown. Defense gives up some big plays, but makes crucial 3rd down stops.

I’m normally pretty glass half full but I just don’t have a good feeling about this one.

31-13 clemson.

they hit a bunch of deep shots with their big fast receivers in one on one coverage and take advantage of Ross in the slot against safeties. Clemsons front 7 dominates Pitts OL.

Good point but I just don’t trust Clemson’s quarterback to hit most of those throws. He might hit a couple, but it shouldn’t kill us, imo.

DJ can't hit the broad side of a barn from 5 yards and people should stop worrying about it. If he does, Clemson's receivers have had an almost 2019 Pitt-level case of the dropsies this year.

I totally agree. Nothing he or the team has done should point to that outcome. Just a feeling.

I'm feeling optimistic. Pitt is the best offense Clemson has faced so far. And Pitt's defense is at least on par with the other defenses that have shut them down so far this year.

Pitt wins 27-17.

Either total nail biter that goes either way or Pitt blows them out somehow. I don’t see Clemson running Pitt off the field at this point under any scenario.

I’ve been thinking about this prediction a lot. I think Clemson’s defense presents a huge challenge. I think the injuries to their DL allow the OL to hold up well in pass pro and Kenny will be able to use his legs to extend plays. Their secondary on our WRs is my biggest concern. Pitt’s WRs didn’t do a great job of getting consistent separation on VTs DBs, who are a step down from Clemson’s. We will see if Pitt can run the ball, I don’t expect a huge rushing day either.
I don’t expect Clemson’s offense to do anything. Their QB is just a mess. He is t going to get his mechanical issues corrected in a week. Pitt is not going to allow Clemson to run. They may hit a few plays but Pitt will lock down on 3rd downs and the red zones when the windows compress and hold Clemson to field goals.
the difference in this one comes down to Kenny making plays. He makes enough late to win a close one. 21-16 Pitt!

Pitt 24 Clemson 20. In a game that doesn’t feel as close as the score, but will be stressful until the clock strikes zero.

That's the thing I trust Pitt to be able to play a full game and win a nail-biter this year. Kenny 4th quarter is still here and he has more and better weapons to use if he has to pull out his 7th or whatever it is career late game-winning drive.

Tough because Pitt hasn't faced a talented defense like this yet. Yet Clemson can't put points on the board against anyone.

I think it's a Pitt victory, I don't feel confident enough to throw up a score though

I get the weird feeling this will be something closer to the score you posted than a close game. Western Michigan is the only game we've played that we didn't win by 3 TDs. I'm going to say Pitt 24-14.

I think this game mirrors the Tennessee game in a lot of ways. Clemson has their opportunities early but miss hitting those big plays. Pitt settles down and scores some points.

Since Clemson has a better defense I’ll lower the score a bit.

They only way I see Pitt winning big like this is if they force a few turnovers and obviously don’t turn it over themselves! They are going to need a few short fields to put up a big score.

I’m basing my prediction off our common opponent Georgia Tech. Clemson beat GT by 6. We beat GT by 31. So, Pitt beats Clemson by 25. Pitt averages about 40 points per game vs P5, and Clemson averages about 15 points per game vs P5. So, everything points to 40-15 Pitt. I wish it worked like this.

It's a testament to how good Clemson's D really is that scoring 24 points and winning by 10 is said to be winning big and it's true

Keep them on the field. Smother their offense. Clemson's D CAN be tired out, NC State did it to them.

I got Pitt winning 26-24 with Scarton kicking the GW FG with 4 seconds left.

Not a score prediction, but Scarton is going to be key on Saturday. I hope he has a good week of practice because we're going to need a confident kicker. Clemson's red zone defense is excellent and this will likely be a close game. Would not surprise me if he ends up with 3 or 4 attempts.

And they still only scored 14 in regulation. That’s the best team they’ve faced and they barely beat them…at home. It’s going to be hard no matter what.

Normally common opponents are not a reliable indicator as to the game match-ups. But Pitt beat common opponents easily and clemson struggling vs the Cuse suggest Pitt is just better and wins 31- 13

This is the other part of this game that terrifies me. It’s a big moment, energy and nerves are going to be through the roof in a tough place to kick. He’s going to need the Duzz kiss on the cheek in this one! Weather looks good at this point to which helps.

I just hope this isn't the week clemsons offense clicks. It can't be this bad. The qb didn't miss a best last year when flock of seagulls was out.

If Clemson was competent at QB, I'd consider going Tigers. Not the case, however.

Pitt -- 24
Clemson -- 13

I’m not really sure what to say about their offense but with the inaccuracy of DJs passes, I expect it’s mechanical issues with him and probably mental at this point. I don’t expect him to fix that in a week. Until he “clicks” this offense isn’t going to. They still have a semblance of a running game but I think they still have an inexperienced OL as well. Ross has been injured and in and out of the lineup and none of their other WRs are that dangerous it seems. Ngata is okay. I just don’t see Clemson’s offense finding magic all of a sudden. I mean maybe they could actually score in the 20s but I just can’t see them all of sudden hitting bombs and throwing for 300 and scoring 30+

Similar to the last two games, this just looks like another good matchup for Pitt. I don't think we will have issues scoring, but I might still be too high on this offense.
