Here is the scenario. The local guys were talking about it and, quite frankly, its a reasonable possibility-
Utah goes undefeated from the Pac 12
Baylor or TCU goes undefeated in the Big 12
Michigan St or Ohio St goes undefeated in the Big 10
Clemson or FSU goes undefeated in the ACC (these are West coast guys so they were just listing all the undefeateds)
Then, this is where it gets interesting-
Bama beats LSU head to head and wins the West with 1 loss (or Ole Miss, either one)
Georgia wins the east with 2 losses
Georgia beats Bama (or Ole Miss) in the SEC title game
Now, you have an SEC champ with 2 losses. You have the SEC West champ with 2 losses. You have 4 major conference champs that are undefeated
What does the committee do? Do they dare leave the by God almighty SEC out of the playoff? ESPN will have a stroke. Do they leave out an unbeaten conference champ for a 2 loss SEC Champ? Even more absurd, do they leave out an unbeaten conference champ for a 1 loss SEC West team that didn't even make the title game?
