Partial transcript from intern Toby Corriston below (unedited due to time constraints):

Cade Klubnik

--He knows it wasn’t a great first half, missing some throws, dropping some passes, but believes it was good to face adversity and have the ability to get things rolling in the second half.

--He was proud of the defense for stepping up in the red zone and creating stops while handling the challenge of Stanford’s triple-option plays.

--Hopes Ashton Daniels is okay, they’re good friends. He mentioned he got the opportunity to pray for him after the game.

--On his TD run, the pocket collapsed, and he just tried to make a play; gave credit to the downfield blocking for making it happen.

--He noted the team’s ability to bounce back after calls and reviews didn’t go their way and still put up points on their drives.

Sammy Brown:

--He praised the defense's second-half response after a rough first half where things got a bit chaotic dealing with the different looks Stanford shows.

--Especially proud of their performance on 4th down and in the red zone, noting how Coach Swinney had challenged them to improve in that area.

--They were beating themselves in the first half, with defensive mistakes like having their eyes in the wrong spots, but were able to make the necessary adjustments at halftime.

--He feels the game has slowed down for him, even in this short amount of time, compared to the first game he played.

--He hopes they put a smile on people's faces and get a win after everything the community has been through.

Avieon Terrell:

--The importance of giving the offense tough looks in practice so they can start strong in games has been key for their early success.

--Stressed how the defense always reassures the offense telling them things like: We got you. We’ll get the ball back.

--Their communication on the field has improved significantly.

--The defensive strategy for him was clear: "Take him (No. 13) out of the game."

--He too was proud to get a win for the community and bring some smiles during tough times.

Cole Turner:

--Caught his first career touchdown pass. He simply recognized how he could attack the safety’s leverage and make the play.

--There was a sense of relief after finally catching a touchdown, especially after being haunted the last time he had a chance and was stopped at the half-yard line.

--He believes this is the deepest wide receiver room he’s ever been a part of.

--Proud to win for everyone going through difficult times although he wasn’t surprised that Death Valley was so full, knowing the fans show up for them every day.
