Jk Biden freezes Trump’s low cost insulin rule.

“This initiative could save the over 1.3 million seniors who rely on Medicare Part D plans and use insulin, an average of $446, or 66 percent, a year on their insulin costs. For those whose health, and even lives, depend on insulin, the savings will be nothing short of a godsend.”

Also removed the gag clause, so that pharmacist’s could talk to patients regarding how/where to obtain drugs more cheaply. What’s the possible justification here?

The incoming administration always pauses all of the last minute policy changes the outgoing admin makes. It's how it works.

Don't put logic out there. You know they dont care. They are way to busy screaming about all the terrible things the President is doing.

It's quite the challenge for them as Biden hasn't said or done anything embarrassing daily unlike his predecessor.

I doubt @BionicTiger cares about truth. He likes to throw fake news grenades on the board and then retreat like a bitch. I have more respect for @TigerGrowls , at least he goes down swinging

so much irony. I’m right here btw. Has nothing to do with fake news. The source posted above isn’t fake news. Pretty solid source, actually. It does have everything to do with watching you dipshits predictably trip all over each other racing to white knight for the guy at every. Single. Turn. No. Matter. What. It’s incredible to watch, especially after all the condescending lectures of the past few weeks. Every policy decision is brilliant and roundly magnanimous. Every word is genius and nuanced. Not once has one of you sheep indicated that there is even a slight issue with a proposed policy or something the guy has said or done. Yet, you’re constantly bleating about the hero worshipping, cultist morons on the other side. The irony is you’re the exact same thing. I’ll change my mind when either of you or @iceheart08 or @ClemTigsCo are critical of something for the first time.

this guy seems to be taking the biden win poorly

no one knows who you’re talking to, because you can’t use the reply function. Assuming it’s me, nah. I’ll be fine regardless. My business isn’t going anywhere. It’s necessary. And, it pays the bills. The next 2 years will be more of the same. Limited progress and minimal policy change. Then we’ll be back to political grandstanding and gridlock. I just don’t love hypocrisy and stupidity. Couple those two qualities with arrogance, and it’s the absolute worst.

Personally, I'm just happy we know what his favorite ice cream is.......would much rather hear about this than what all of these executive orders and policy reversals mean for the Nation.

you have Biden Derangement Syndrome! Am I doing it right?

Just sit back and watch. Biden has not been president for a whole week yet. He is going to restore the soul of the nation. Again, am I doing it right? RTSOTN!

The difference between Biden and Trump is that Biden has a plan, a transparent plan. My wife has Type 1 Diabetes. So the cost of insulin affects us (I guess, not sure how it affects private insurance). Joe Biden fought so that my wife could get insurance and not be denied for having a preexisting condition. Trump said he wanted to protect preexisting conditions, but then went to the courts to try and get it struck down. So if we have to pay more for insulin, so be it. I'll take Joe over Donny every day of the week.

Maybe we haven't responded to anything he's done so far because it was exactly what he said during the election that he would do. I'm not upset or overly enthused, it's what I expected.

What has been a breath of fresh air is not hearing anything stupid out of the white House. Nobody has been insulted,no sudden changes in policy or thinking without explanation, no Twitter drama. It's like the president is an adult.

this times 1000. It is so refreshing.

just think about 4 years ago. Trumps first day was the Monday after his inauguration, he couldn’t be bothered with starting work right away. Then he spent his first week talking about how he actually won the popular vote, had the biggest inauguration crowd in history, and how smart he is.

You forgot to mention how much pub rustling he’s done.

Exactly - this is a cheap gotcha as what happens in a transition is that everything gets paused before they sort out what they like and don’t like

Ahhh yes. The classic question of whether to help or dick over insulin and epinephrine users while making the companies carry the bulk of the cost. It’s a debate as old as time. Should definitely require lots of sorting.

You are no longer worth my time. I gave you my reasoning for not worrying about Biden’s insulin pricing bullshit, and you respond with this. It does not matter what I say, it will never be good enough for you unless I just agree with you 100%. You are @TigerGrowls

I mean you can continue to willfully ignore the point made- that this is merely a result of a blanket pause in regulatory changes- if you want. I wouldn’t say that’s going to be a very persuasive argument, but have at it I suppose.

Oh no!

Just be honest with yourself, and admit you’ve never thought anyone who has disagreed with you here is worth your time.

Right up until that moment it’s never reinstated. Which it won’t be.

There we are - you finally acknowledge that one would have to predict the future in order to discern what the resulting policy on insulin is going to be.

Maybe it will be reinstated - or maybe they’ll come up with something even better! The fun part is that no one could possibly know yet which is why this amounts to a cheap gotcha.

A. the sources cited here are all right-wing propaganda garbage.
B. I'll be plenty happy to criticize Biden when it's warranted. For instance, I think he's foolish to think that Mitch McConnel and Republicans will ever actually work with him in good faith and he should press Dems to nuke the filibuster so we can actually get shit done for the people of the country.

If and when a respectable conservative on here can actually demonstrate a negative action from Biden, I'll be happy to acknowledge it. That hasn't happened yet. It's all been a bunch of totally bullshit right-wing conspiracy theory talking points.

Here's the thing - I know that you and @TigerGrowls and your ilk act this way: insisting that everything Trump does is great and everything Biden does is crap. But don't project your own failings onto us. We don't act that way.

Moreover, every time one of you posts one of these bullshit stories, it reduced your credibility further. Why should anyone every believe anything you guys say given your history?

Exactly. Trump's EO actually did jack shit about insulin prices. It was purely empty political theater.

My hope is the Biden will do something that actually helps people. If Rs really wanted to do something on drug prices, they could start by not filibustering the RX drug bill that the Dem House passed last Congress but that never even got a vote in McConnell's senate (imagine that).

The fact of the matter is that Biden and Dems have actually tried to pass legislation to help deal with this, but when push came to shove, Republicans, including Trump, have blocked it at every turn. And a sham EO doesn't change that.

We'll see what happens moving forward. There is little doubt, legislation like this WILL come to a vote in the Senate this year. I'll bet dollars to donuts that Republicans filibuster it.

This is the point where @BionicTiger leaves the thread.

A) The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute is “right wing propaganda garbage”?
B) More short sighted idiocy.
