For those of you who follow this stuff or Strelow, why did Brandon McIllwain drop back to a 3-star? I was looking around this morning and decided to check the Rivals Team Rankings and was surprised to see USuC was still at 4 commits and had dropped all the way to # 57 :D:D:D:D. And then I noticed McIllwain had been dropped back to a 3-star. Digging around, I found a couple old articles about him being a new 4-star back in Feb, but nothing else. From google and ESPN (I think) it looks like he did very well in the Elite 11. But I couldn't find anything about him in the Rivals QB Challenge. It looks like the Elite 11 and the Rivals QB CHallenge were about the same time, but I think Zerrick Cooper did both.

Did Rivals drop him because he did bad in some other camps? Or did they drop him just because he didn't do any Rivals camps at all, especially the Rivals QB Challenge? Because he did well in the Elite 11.

I'd love to hear Paul's thoughts, but he might just say he hasn't followed him since he committed to USuC or that he didn't see him in Baltimore.

It seems like McIllwain has received lots of praise on this board despite committing to USuC, so I figure someone who follows this stuff more than me might be able to explain why he lost his 4th star????
