One of my biggest frustrations with our staff this year is both game-planning and game-management. For this weekend, I have zero confidence that our coaches will come up with anything unique or distinctive to attack SMU.
In fact, I can't think of many times this year where I have seen our team come out and clearly demonstrate a unique plan tailored towards a specific opponent. I don't go back and watch film like many do, so I am curious if anyone else has seen this?
It seems like we are used to having more talent than most teams and we simply "do what we do". Problem is, we don't have near as much talent and we don't look like a well coached team in any fashion.
Edit: I do recall the game (maybe VT?) in which we added the 3rd LB to match personnel. That is the only time I remember noticing anything specific to attacking our opponent.
