Great resilience after facing a lot of adversity. Watson was only short on that run because of the facemask the refs missed. Oh, but you can't review that! Facemask penalties are magical and must be called immediately.
That wasn't it with the refs, either. Two BS roughing calls on Lawson (at least one certainly was.) But a UL guy pulls Kearse's leg to injure him and there's no call. No holding call on Louisville's hail mary, even though they tackled our DT. The holding call on Tankersley when the QB threw a duck..... I swore I was watching the Ohio State game again with these guys, it was like they were bought off.
This was Watson's worst game in a Clemson uniform. He wasn't terrible, but he made bad decisions all night, and his short passes haven't been crisp this year. Elliott wasn't impressing me either with all his late-game up-the-middle calls when clearly we had a ton more success outside. We played scared at the end. Special teams... what can you say? One of these days, Dabo's neglect of it will cost us a game, but not as of yet. Just happy to win and survive for tonight.
