With apologies to LDub (and R Philpott on the radio today), I cannot imagine a scenario where the staff would have NOT played Kelly this season. I've been to several scrimmages and talked to 2-3 staffers who agreed that we can't win big with #12 under center. So getting Bryant ready quickly is paramount in the event Watson gets dinged up again. There's another reason, too. Commitment Zerrick Cooper has formidable starter topside in the years ahead. Unless he fails from a leadership standpoint (not the overall student/athlete package that Bryant brings to the table), he'll be right there behind Watson until the NFL comes calling. His passing is superior to anyone we'll have on the roster once DW leaves.
