So I was at a get together Friday night with about 10 couples. Mix of gamecocks and Tigers. All the men are outside talking football, the Thursday night game, USC/uga game, etc. One Gamecock pipes up and says that he thinks we are a bad match up for scar. My mouth dropped wide opened in disbelief. Then, he said, verbatim, "all you have to do to beat Clemson is stop the run, and make Deshaun Watson throw the ball downfield because he can't throw the deep ball." I literally laughed in his face and told him that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life.
I'm generally a laid back guy who can let just about anything roll off my back. But, for some reason, i have zero patience with the guy who talks like he knows football, but has absolutely no clue on any level about the game. Add in the fact that said person is a Gamecock fan, and I suddenly feel a mix of anger, sympathy, and nausea.
