Everyone has their own recruiting rankings, I trust the coaches to make the calls not folks who put a number or star next to a player. However, it is interesting to look at how ESPN has each player ranked by a certain number. Here is how ESPN would rank the top 3 players and our worst 3 players for us by position based off their numbers.

CB 1. Dawkins Jr. (NR), 2. Trapp (76), 3. Edmunds (74)
S 1. Johnson (77), 2a. Gibson (78), 2b. Wiggins (78)
It seems like we have some really unbalanced talent at LB and CB. Hopefully, a good portion of these kids will prove to be underrated. Dodd, Seckinger, Gallman, Reader, and Wiggins come to mind. These guys have all been solid contributors for Clemson. In terms of the top 3 above, Baker seems to be the only one so far who has bee overrated. Our OL and DL haul last year looks was excellent. Hopefully, we can follow it up again this year. I do think our coaches need to be careful in giving to many scholarships to coaches kids/former players. They can afford to pay their way anyway and it takes spots away from more deserving kids who can't afford to pay their own way and who are more talented. Davis twins, Dawkins Jr., Trapp and Greenlee come to mind. Again I trust the coaches, but it is something they need to be careful with. The good thing is that they could move these guys off scholarship for a year or two to make room for a big time player if they need extra room.
