I keep hearing that Leggett has 1 year left on his contract. That means that he only had 2 years last year and 3 years the year before. My thought was in major college athletics, coaches always had 4 or more years on their contract for recruiting. Spurrier's contract lasts until 2018 or 2019, but the fact that he mentioned retiring in 2 years caused an uproar in recruiting.
I'm assuming that baseball recruiting is just different and not as cut throat as football. Did that hurt us in baseball at all?
