I'm not saying this immediately but I think if RRM were to consider the long term opportunity in the NFL and compare some similar skill set players he might be better suited at lock down CB.
For instance compare the players, career life spans and associated contracts: Joe Haden, CJ Spiller, Byron Maxwell, Percy Harvin, Darell Revis, I'll even say OBJ. He might not have an exact skill set comparison in these players but I do feel it's better long term to side with the island corner position or receiver position. I feel like right now we are setting him up as a scat back, jet sweep, slot receiver hybrid player.
Bryon getting 10M/ year; CJ is looking at getting +5M/ per year. That magic number of 29-30 for NFL Rbs is a harsh reality. I know RB isn't specifically RRM's position but he should get some carries out of the what will be a loaded RB stable.
Do you think at some point during his time at Clemson he takes a hard look at the CB position?
