In Saturday's game against Notre Dame, Reed Garris was credited with a save.
He came into the game with 2 outs in the 7th inning, and the score was 11-7 at the time.
To be credited with a save, I thought a reliver would have to come in with a lead of no greater than 3 runs, or he would have to pitch the final 3 innings.
I'm just curious as to how Reed qualified for the save.
Thank you
