From a money stand point, I have to think ADs would much prefer to not get that bye and generate an extra few million in tickets, concessions, etc. Obviously its a competitive advantage to have the bye, but is there a money consideration at play? Just like NFL owners love having those extra home games in the playoffs, ADs have to think about it that way too, right? Or am I misunderstanding the economics of this thing?
