Several women on the US soccer team on Monday turned away from the US flag as 98-year-old WWII veteran Pete DuPré played the national anthem on a harmonica.

Several women on the US soccer team on Monday turned away from the US flag as 98-year-old WWII veteran Pete DuPré played the national anthem on a harmonica.
The US Women’s soccer team is playing against Mexico in East Hartford, Connecticut in a pre-Olympic sendoff game before heading to Japan.
These women should not be allowed to represent the US at the Olympics.

Did you even read the stories above? The ladies who were "turned away" were looking at the gentleman playing the National Anthem. The performer was not in the same direction as the flag, creating the incorrect idea that they were looking away. This "story" is thoroughly idiotic and wrong.

Yes. I read that part and that just proves the original story. The fact that they are looking at the singer is irrelevant. They were not looking at the flag (They were looking away from the flag). Nobody said anything about them looking away from the singer. It looked very much like they were protesting. The same individuals that took a knee last time BTW so why should they get the benefit of the doubt for some crazy notion that they were looking at the singer that they all loved and clapped after which they didn't all clap. That was another lie in the story.

You want to get all up in my grill for jumping to conclusions when these are the same that protested before. These girls care more about taking advantage of their position to bring attention to themselves than making all of America proud for representing them.
