My point is that you should be scared of radical anybodys. You should be scared of terrorists. Not scared of a religion. Muslims aren't bad. Radical Islamists are bad. Christians aren't bad. Radical Christians are - and yes, it probably is a new one because it doesn't get nearly the publicity in this country. Atheists and agnostics aren't bad. Bad people are bad. Religion is a very powerful tool. When radicals slant the words and use it for control purposes, it works. Because it is incredibly powerful.

By the way, I grew up a Christian, but I'm very well versed on Islam and there are extremes that parallel Christianity, but it is no more inherently bad than Christianity is if you go by the book. People are bad and when bad people use it to their advantage, and twist the words (which are intended to be interpreted - heard of church?) bad things come from it.

It sounds like you might make that distinction, and I 100% agree with the bolded part, but you're naive to think that the majority believes that way. Have you been living under a rock the past few years while gay marriage has been such a hot topic, or with the issues transgenders face in our country? Do you have a better word than intolerance and unacceptance?

To me, I'm sick of hearing people give their opinion on the Constitution or how they feel about it, rather than give facts about it. Why is that so hard? Afterall, what Trump said is far from unconstitutional. I would refrain from giving my opinion about things unless I knew that to be true. While I see where he's coming from - since it is a religion founded on intolerance for those with other beliefs - you can't can ban them from coming into this country. 1) it would be contrary to the principles upon which this country was founded, and 2) there would be no practical way of validating that they are or aren't Muslim anyway. Further, would we also ban conversion to Islam? It's just ridiculous - and another attempt by Trump to be the anti-Obama - and that resonated with many people in this country. I'm fairly conservative and I can tell you there's no way in hell I'd vote for Trump. Problem is, he'll probably gift wrap the election for Hillary...so we'll continue down the path of becoming a more socialist country where the government grows to an unsustainable state.
