So @Cris_Ard
A few years ago you stated that SC was going nowhere. Some on this board wondered when it would go bsck to the days of Clemson (and everyone else) easily beating SC....you said that was in the past, and would not happen anytime soon again. With Spurrier at the reigns, and SEC money, all of the upgrades, a fanbase and donor base that knew what it was like to win, would keep SC a winning team.
You rustled a lot of jimmies on this board including Ron Munson's jimmies. Some of us, Ron Munson included, knew that a large part of the success was due to Florida, Tennessee and Clemson all going through coaching turnover and being down and the once in a lifetime abundance of instate talent (Jeffrey, Clowney, Lattimore, Holloman and Gilmore..all of which went to SC).
So it looks like SC is back to being a 5-6 win team, and competing with Kentucky and Vandy to stay out of last place in the East. And it isnt going to get any better under Spurrier, and it would take any new coach 5+ years to turn it around due to the mess spurrier left the program in, similar to the way Lou Holtz left it. And that 5+ year time frame wont start until Spurrier is gone and there is zero chance T-Rex Tanner fires him.
I dont usually call people out on things, but as I said, you really rustled Ron Munson's jimmies.
So, your thoughts on your original assessment of SC not going away anytime soon?
