.....maybe it's just me but I would have thought this was impossible if you had bet me on it.
Auburn has not had back-to-back 10-win seasons since 1988-1989....but that is not what's is MOST crazy. That is the only two-year stretch in 122 years of football that they won back-to-back 10 games or more. I guess that is shocking to me!?!
For the record, Clemson has done it twice in two separate four-year stretches: 1987-1990 and 2011-2014, for a total of 8 years.
I got to thinking that maybe this was a good way to really tell the modern "Blue Bloods" because it wasn't until maybe the 1950's that teams started playing 10 or more games per year.
For comparison:
* Georgia has done it 4 times, for a total of 12 years
* Georgia Tech has done it once in their entire history, for a total of 2 years
* FSU is tougher because they basically were ridiculous from 1987-2000; they've done it 3 times over a period of 19 years
* LSU has done it twice, for a total of 7 years
* Alabama has done it 5 times for a total of 20 years.
* Florida has done it 3 times for a total of 10 years.
* Michigan has done it 5 times for a total of 14 years
* Miami has done it twice but for a total of 12 years
* UNC - once for a total of 2 years
* USCjr - once for a total of 3 years, but you knew that
* Oregon has done it twice for a total of 9 years
* Southern California has only done it twice (!) for a total of 9 years. Lots of up-and-down seasons in their history, which surprised me
* Texas has only done it three times for a total of 13 years. Basically the Mack Brown era was their Golden Age, which I never would have thought.
* Notre Dame has done it three times for a total of 7 years.
* Tennessee has done it five times (!) for a total of 14 years.
* Texas A&M has done it twice for a total of 5 years
