I agree, can't just lump everyone into one group or the other. Thats not correct. Trump is terrible, these people rioting are terrible, but you can't just blame half the country. We have to stop radicalizing the right with facts and nuance. They are inventing new realities to escape fact based narratives.
Have you heard Trump's statement from after the attack on the Capitol had been going on for more than an hour? Maybe all of his supporters aren't complicit, but have no doubt that this is EXACTLY what Trump wanted to happen. Trump absolutely owns all of this.

Yeah that is a BS take. In fact you could more easily argue that the dems who have seemingly been demonstrating for years created the “culture of protest” that enabled this to happen. I do hold Trump partially responsible and some of his comments have frankly been reprehensible but to take the leap that everyone that voted for him is responsible for it is asinine (though you probably know that).

Good post. Don’t blame the Trump supporters as a whole. I am an independent (typically lean Republican for tax purposes and Democratic for social issues) that voted for Biden because Trump is a lunatic. Don’t lump good people into what some bad apples do. Now people like @TigerGrowls on the other hand....
He does have a point and I'm sure he didn't mean EVERY Trump voter. But those who stood by while he tried to destroy democracy at every turn and tacitly approved of his lunacy, no matter how wretched, are complicit. If you never spoke out to those in your circle of influence, you were kindling to the fire that finally erupted.
