I don't understand what some folks were expecting.
Going in we had no returning starters on our OL.
Our best, and most likely a first round pick , WR did not play.
Our QB is less than a year from major knee surgery.
We lost 7 or 8 starters off our defense
We are lost Wiggins who would have been huge last night
We lost a punter who was drafted in the NFL
Our kicker is playing his 4th game
Oh, we lost our OC to a head coaching position.
We played a team who has one of the best OL in the nation with experience
They have an excellent front 7 with 2 All Americans
They are well coached and have experienced on the big stage, so they were not intimidated by playing here.
And we played in horrible conditions.
