Anyone else since all this pandering to BLM by the University and athletic department feel differently about Clemson? I am as die hard as they come but enthusiasm especially for football has waned. Does feel different to me.

You’re going to make some people made that you used the word “pandering,” but that’s what it is.
I have known about Juneteenth for a long time. I don’t have any problem with it being made a state/federal holiday. However, I never noticed anyone referencing it on Facebook until today. Looked at the pages for a couple of my friends who have posted multiple times about it today.
Nothing on their pages for 6/19/19.
Nothing on their pages for 6/19/18.
It’s only suddenly so important because someone they don’t like (and FTR- someone I don’t like) was going to give a speech at a rally today.

Hard when your head is in your ass.

I'm sorry that some dude on the internet linking to someone else's feelings isn't compelling to me. Just because you can link something doesn't make it factual.

BLM is a subset of Hamas. No matter how you look at it. How about it Clements?

I bet lots of your enthusiasm has been sapped by COVID and nothing going on.

The only question about it is that it seems to perpetuate the myth that the Civil War ended slavery in the US. It did end slavery in the former Confederate states thanks to the Emancipation Proclamation, but slavery did not end in Kentucky (which never seceded despite often being considered a "southern" state), Delaware, or New Jersey in April 1865. That happened when the 13th amendment was passed in December 1865.

Of course the last state to actually RATIFY the 13th amendment was good ole' "Last in everything" Mississippi. But slaves in Mississippi were freed when the war ended (though I imagine it took a while for Union troops to actually enforce that).

Minor point but worth keeping in mind.

Yes it gave me pause. Not happy about some of the things I’ve seen
