Talked to someone who knows Golson's H.S. coach (Wilson), and according to Wilson, Golson to usce is all but a done deal. Golson wants to play close to home for his final season and although he has indicated that UGA and the coots were his finalists, the ole ball sac has been in Golson's ear to come to his home state to play and indicated to Golson that he could get the SEC to allow him to transfer there. Spurrier realizes that he does not have a decent qb for this year but feels that if he could get Golson for one year, they can have a decent season and knows that "help is on the way for this position" going forward.
Hate to hear this as like it or not, Golson will be the difference of a 5-6 season to 7-5 for them and that is what Spurrier is counting on.
