Is anyone else surprised that the Clemson football account hasn’t posted anything on social media about MLK day? From what I’ve seen Clemson and Georgia are the only two Southeastern schools not to post anything today.

I thought they did earlier

I’m not surprised they didn’t, I’m equally not surprised someone said something about it as though it’s somehow wrong.

Don’t remember them ever doing it before either. Not everything has to be a thing.

It was a simple question. Nobody implied it was “wrong”.

You checked the twitter account of every single school in the southeast? You need to get laid bruh

There is no way a Southern university or a white person can win saying anything at all in this politically correct mood the media pushes.

Say something positive....you're being sarcastic. Say something negative...you're a racist. And until the various races can speak to each other honestly and without hesitation for fear of reprisal, we'll continue to hurt each other.

That’s just simply not true. This snowflake era of white men crying about the world being out to get them is hilarious.

Dude you're probably just a racist. Maybe. I've been on the phone with white friends and black friends today and the subject came up. Nothing close to what you said was true. Also, many I'm assuming, white people have said stuff on TI today and it doesn't fit your description. I think it's a "you" problem. Seriously.

Wow.

I'm sure some of those teams are out there pandering but wow. Maybe someone was actually inspired by what MLK Jr did or said. SMH.

Easy Nancy. You would rather we copy FSU? How about we get the art department to put together a picture of Dr. King in a “We too deep” T-shirt?

Unfortunately, people too often use this day to do an obligatory, half-hearted tribute to a great man, who deserves an honest tribute. Unfortunately, too many people use this day to try to connect his great work to their agenda. I have seen quotes today trying to portray him as pro-life, pro-choice, pro-Israel, pro-Palestine, etc. I have seen people use this day to release a new album on iTunes or announce they are running president. All of that’s pandering in my book.

If Clemson does a heartfelt tribute to Dr. King, and they make it about him... that’s wonderful. People too often make these kinds of tributes about themselves. That’s all I was getting at.

I swear some of you are just plain stupid or looking for a fight.

I addressed the fact that not everyone is pandering but I'm sure some are. If Clemson would've put anything out I'm guessing it wouldn't be the low class attempt FSU did and I'm also ok if they didn't do anything. Reread my message in response to what was written and then redirect your unrelated response to me to someone else. SMH.

You just want to be able to say ni--er without people getting mad.

I was replying to what you said to me you dumb ass. SMH

You couldn't have been because your dumbass response to me was unrelated to what I said. I didn't disagree with you overall. Just your stupid notion that if they did anything at all it would be pandering.

That's just plain stupid. You're the dumbass that said we'd do something like FSU like there's no way Clemson could be smarter and do something classy or thoughtful without pandering. Or maybe they just decided not to do it. Either way no matter what they decided it's not necessarily pandering you buffoon.

I swear we gotta get a meter that distinguishes between people that have genuinely thoughtful responses or questions about cultures different from their own, even if tough questions.....or those that are undercover racists stirring the pot.

I enjoy some of the back and forth because even if the question is harsh or tough, the exchange could still be helpful for both sides. But some on here are so stupid that there's no way they actually could give a damn about others at all. I appreciate those of you that try to engage the right way. Like I said even if the questions are tough.

You didn’t disagree with me overall... you just began your response to my post with WOW and ended it with SMH. In response to that, I clarified what I meant. You clearly only read the first sentence of my reply, accused me of using non-sequitiurs, and responded with your own nonsequitors. OPs post came right after scartiger’s post about FSU. That’s why I connected those two dots. I’ve wasted enough effort talking to you this evening. Have a nice night, and be sure to take your aspirin tomorrow before you browse the forums looking for something to be angry about.

Well I agree with this 100 percent. For those that doesn't we'll just have to respectfully disagree.

Your dumbass pandering comment started it all. Assuming anyone doing any tribute to MLK was pandering. If you don't see the problem with that and why that drew a wow, you're just stupid. Start all over. SMH again.
