Special Forces takes out IS leader in Syria

Pretty impressive work by our military.

when our Military is allowed to do their thing ... there is no better fighting force on the planet.

and just some side commentary .... what a POS cowardly dog this F*er was. In his last act, this animal murders his wife and his own children ... hope the SOB is enjoying Hell.

The challenge is our military isn't often allowed to do their thing. It's why I got out after 5 years as the rules of engagement were so complicated you had to practically die before you could shoot back.

Glad to see us taking the initiative though, need to reestablish ourselves as force not to f*ck with

I cant even imagine. I get incredibly annoyed when some executive in Cedar Rapids (where our HQ) makes a decision that makes no sense at all and its clear they douche canoe has no understanding of the business and what we do.

Quick Story: I was in our Managed Services organization that had dedicated field offices in airports world wide. These offices housed technicians that maintained the systems and hardware we had deployed at the airport. When UTC (Now Raytheon Tech) bought us, so asshole made the decision that all "field sites" required a audit to determine if they were in compliance with UTC site process and EH&S safety guidelines. Since UTC considered "field sites" to be manufacturing facilities, it took me 8 months to get this asshole and his staff to understand that my teams didnt need chemical protective suits, goggles, and gloves BECAUSE my guys were IT geeks swapping out computer keyboards and conducting backs ups on Servers.

I cant even imagine what you had to go through with your life on the line

Last I checked, you always have the right of self defense. Sometimes the shot not fired is the best shot.

Yes, great work!

I will leave the arguments about what the MSM did when our former president made the same decisions to another time, as I don't see it beneficial in a thread congratulating our armed forces for a job well done!

And yet you did it anyway.
