Spurrier jabbed familiar target Dabo Swinney on Wednesday, taking aim at Clemson's media policy, according to The State. The Tigers' first few practice sessions will be open to media but not the fans; the Gamecocks' practices will be closed to both. Spurrier suggested the NCAA -- if not the judicial system -- look into Swinney's policy.

"The media? You mean (Dabo Swinney) can open to the media and not the fans? I didn't know that was permissible," Spurrier said. "You better check the legal ramifications of that. There may be some lawsuits."

Spurrier, who is 5-2 against Swinney, suggested the Gamecocks' media contingent spy on the Tigers.

"You guys go up there and bring us a report back, and we'll listen to you about three months from now, OK?" Spurrier said.
