I know transitive properties dont work in sports but just for S&Gs...

FSU had 217 total yards against BC.
119 passing
98 rushing

Clemson had 532 yards against BC
420 Passing
112 Rushing

FSU had 510 total yards against Louisville.
377 passing
133 rushing

Clemson had 401 yards against Louisville
199 Passing
202 Rushing

Take away.
Against our only common opponents to date passing has been a mixed bag, with Clemson being much better against BC and FSU being much better against Louisville. In both cases the lower output passing team it was their first true opponent of the season and maybe timing wasn't down yet. Clemson has the excuse of Thursday night, on the road, short turn around, etc. But regardless of how you slice it its a mixed bag. Results wise.

However Clemson has out rushed FSU in both cases.

So with that in mind lets look at FSU vs Miami

FSU had 539 total yards against Miami.
291 Passing
248 Rushing

Now who know about the passing game. Maybe Clemson throws for 4x as many yards as FSU ala BC or maybe only half as many ala Louisville. But I think we can all agree, if and this is a HUGE IF Clemson can run for more than 248 yards against Miami, nothing else will matter.

If Clemson can run the ball, and make no mistake Tony Elliott has shown the propensity to stick with the run when working as a play caller, then I think its a happy flight back home on Tiger Paw 1.
