Heading to Travel channel’s “#1 Family Beach in America” Memorial Day weekend...

Would prefer to stay on Ocean Blvd as close to the boardwalk as possible...

May pop down to Garden City for a day as well...

Any recommendations? Places to stay? Places to eat? Do’s or Don’ts? Things to see?

The best advice I can give about a Myrtle Beach trip is just not to take one. Go stay somewhere nice instead.

Pick any of the Calabash buffets and remember to make everyone in your party wear cargo shorts. After 4-5 full plates take one last trip up and fill your pockets for a to-go meal. Ideally y'all will have lined your pockets with plastic, but if not you're in Myrtle so you'll be fine.

The Pavilion is a great for family...good rides and games. For the Adults, I would head a litte north to Crazy Zacks, best bar on the Grand Strand.

Stay on the south end of Myrtle Beach preferably a block off the ocean. You can't see the ocean at night anyways. Don't ever eat at a restaurant that does not offer all-you-can-eat. There's a par 3 on the south end that has the best greens in Myrtle Beach. I think this covers most of your trip.

Myrtle Beach can be as nice as you want it to be, or as trashy as you want it to be. Choice is yours.
