Is it possible that team USA threw the exhibition game against Nigeria as part of the BLM movement? Just a thought.
This has to be a bad troll attempt because I refuse to believe anyone is this stupid. Is it possible that team USA threw the exhibition game against Nigeria as part of the BLM movement? Just a thought.
Yep, sure does. I see stupid all the time... I literally said hello to a black man the other day and the first thing out his mouth..."Im a black man don't shoot"... I thought to myself really!!???Handle checks out.
I have a better theory - maybe they suck.Is it possible that team USA threw the exhibition game against Nigeria as part of the BLM movement? Just a thought.
I suspect that may have been an attention grab.No serious thought.... worst things have happened in sports....people are stupid though... one even turned her back and place a shirt over her head during the National Anthem, protesting the very Country she is competing for.... here's an idea, if you want to use your "platform" sacrifice it for something you apparently strongly believe in and go protest. Don't pout with the Olympic Committee when you knew protests were prohibited in Olympic sports.
My son has taken an interest in basketball, and we were discussing the players I remember (Jordan, Shaq, Ewing, Robinson, etc) vs today's stars. If by "threw the game" you mean show up unmotivated and not play hard against a team they thought they could beat in their sleep in an exhibition game then yeah, they threw it. They will be fine (hopefully) once the real games get started.
I don’t think these guys really care much about these games. My son has taken an interest in basketball, and we were discussing the players I remember (Jordan, Shaq, Ewing, Robinson, etc) vs today's stars.
Honestly, one difference between the two (and without calling anyone out) is I cannot imagine the Jordan-led Dream Team letting what happened vs Nigeria or at the Athens Olympics happen to them. Maybe it did and I just don't remember it but they seemed to be more motivated, harder playing, etc.
To be fair, I don't think the 2008 Kobe and LeBron team would have let that happen either.
Probably confirmation bias of an old guy.
Now excuse me as I have a newspaper and a tall glass of prune juice to get back to....
Especially not exhibition games. They are getting a feel for how they will play together and will usually start to care once the real games at the Olympics start. The combo of pride and wanting a gold medal for their resume usually kicks in at that point.I don’t think these guys really care much about these games.

Because you posted in it, thereby bumping it?How is this thread still alive?
You ok? Do you need to surrender your firearms and talk to a specialist?Yep, sure does. I see stupid all the time... I literally said hello to a black man the other day and the first thing out his mouth..."Im a black man don't shoot"... I thought to myself really!!???
