I do think he's going to get the Republican nomination (God, I hope not), but I don't think he's electable in a general election. I'd put forth the Red Wave of 2022 as evidence here... Trump's picks won a ton of nominations, but had more trouble in the general election. Not that none of his picks were elected, but there were some folks that simply weren't electable.

If someone had gagged Trump in January of 2020, he'd be President right now. I have no doubt about it.

For a guy who literally worships Donald Trump, you don't seem to understand him very well. He isn't capable of being quiet. No... that's a pathetic story of how Trump snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Again, all he had to do was stand there and look Presidential and follow the advice of his COVID team. No way he would have lost. But he HAD to run that mouth... and run it he did.

The primary example here is the pandemic. He didn't do a great job with the pandemic... but it could have been much worse. He's a businessman, not a medical guy. Again, all he had to do was keep his mouth shut during those interviews and say that he was working hard and we should all be working together. BUT NOOOOOOOOO... Damn near every press conference ended with saying how great he was doing and then rambling on and sometimes even disagreeing with his own hand picked medical group.

That's a no win for him... If his opinions had been right... then he picked a bunch of dumbasses to advise him. If he was wrong, then he's the dumbass who's not listening to his own team. On the other hand, NO ONE expects him to be an expert on a pandemic. If he listens to his medical team and they are right. He gets credit for picking good folks. If they are wrong, he picked the best folks available and they did the best they could. That's a no lose for him and an easy reelection. But he had to run that mouth and it cost him.
