What do you think is going through the head of the AD at SMU with these rumors about Chad showing interest in the job at SC. He has to be questioning what is going on..... Due to Chad coaching his first year at SMU and first year as a head coach, I think Chad should shut down the rumors if he honestly does not have any interest in coming to SC....which is what I think... .
As in the cooperate work place, I know you should always listen and keep your options open to listen even if you have no interest in a position. It is common courtesy. Is Chad doing this to be "nice"...Maybe the AD knows this, but it has to be a distraction to the university and the football program especially in the middle of the season....Which bring me to wonder what is really going on here....
Why would a coach, during the season, say he is interested in a certain job?
1. Is he unhappy where he is and knows he may not win there.
2. Or is the AD unhappy with him....find that hard to believe.
3. Is this a stab at Clemson or Dabo....was brought up on the radio today.
4. Using the situation for a raise...why would he do that when he has not won anything that is deserving of the recognition or a raise.
5. Would like to coach in the SEC like his good friend at Auburn is doing.
6. More money....????
7. For other reasons I cannot guess...but why openly express interest when you already have a job you just accepted less than a year ago. There has to be a reason....
Or is this something SC is blowing up.....the rumors are getting stronger from different people and areas.
