What's with all the rumors going around? I really don't care one way of the other but my friend is the GM there and posted this on facebook. The last sentence got me! LOL
"Wow. A goofy rumor about us renting out the Pig for a visiting team's fan club (some say to the tune of $200k) that started on a message board at 1:30 am has turned into quite a big story of customer betrayal and biting the hand that feeds. I guess it's good to be so loved and ingrained into this community that we would receive this pushback. However, none of it is true. Here's our official statement (never thought I'd be in a position to say that) which will also be posted by that message board's admin:
"Rumors that The Smokin' Pig has rented out the restaurant to fans and/or teams from any school besides Clemson, on any date, are untrue. Rest assured that The Smokin' Pig knows where we are and who we serve; day in, day out, year round. Go Tigers."
P.S. The day someone does offer $200K to rent us for a day, disregard the above and kmb if you don't like it."
