I'm not sure what he would have done differently. He would not project weakness, though - of that I am sure. Projecting weakness lends itself to theses kind of actions more often. For example, where is Biden calling out China when they are threating Pelosi if she visits Taiwan? The second this news hit the media, he should have been on TV Telling them under no uncertain terms, that ANY action such as that would be meet with swift and drastic military action. You simply can't let other countries threaten harm to the speaker. No matter how I feel about her, this is unacceptable.
