We are a racially and social issue obsessed country. That's always seem to focus on right now and because of that the rot has set in. We are in significant decline because we are divided in every way you possibly can be. People don't even want to be called Americans anymore. The nation cannot sustain itself that way. Unless that changes very soon we're done for. You can't have a country where people in opposing parties can't see eye to eye on anything. You can't have almost half the country that thinks this is a terrible place to live and that we should enact all policy based on guilt of wrongdoings in the past.

Take anything China and Russia do with a grain of salt. Because they advertise a successful test to the press doesn't mean it was successful in reality.

China doesn't build anything without stealing the technology from the US. Many of those Chinese students you see walking around US campus have a mission for their country. Lot's of R&D happens in the unsecure world of universities.
