So much awesome in tonight's show. The recreation of Hilltop was spot on, as was Rick's "what" scene.

Thinking we may finally see Lucille next week, which could be bad news for someone.

I swear every week this season I have a legit moment of "aww damn" when I see the commercial for talking dead because I know it's almost over.

Oh, and I don't think it will be next week. They've confirmed we won't even see Negan until the finale so I'm guessing nothing is really going to happen there until the premiere in the fall.

I'm thinking Lucille comes out to play in the finale and the writers will replace Glenn with Abraham.

That would completely ruin its impact, IMO. While I do like Abraham, he's a peripheral character, and how long has it been now since one of the central characters was killed off? Since Andrea in whatever the Governor season was? At some point, they begin to seem invincible, which makes for weak TV.

I'm not saying anybody is ever going to confuse this show with "The Wire," but it's been on a solid run this season. Sticking to the original script would give it some real impact.

Gotta hand it to the writers. They know how to get the most airtime out of their pivotal plot points.

Really liked tonight's episode. Loved the attention to detail with the recreation of Hilltop with respect to the comic. Abrahams one liner had me dying laughing, "so uh...when you went to pour the Bisquick...did you mean to make pancakes?" At first I was super sure about them having Negan kill Daryl, but now I'm not so sure. Him killing Glenn has the impact that it does in the comic because of his child thats on the way. Killing Daryl, while a fan favorite, don't know if it would have the same impact as killing Glenn.

Someone else pointed out "Glenn would be replaced by Abraham". I don't read the comic, but apparently, Glenn dies. But I agree with the poster, I think they foreshadowed Abraham's death. If you watched talking dead, they mentioned that the last time someone was given/lost a necklace, it was back in season one when Andrea gave one to her sister. Then a zombie got her.

Abraham got a necklace, and then he lost it during the fight. They are also trying to create a stronger following for Abraham by having him warm up to Sasha, get close with Glenn, etc. I think he's a goner.

In the preview for next week you see them stop and you can tell someone is standing on the hood of a car, much like Negan's intro in the comics.
