The recruiting pool party is this weekend and recruiting is not going how they'd like. They know his age and last years record is killing their recruiting which will lead to more loses. He f'ed up making those statements in Jan. He did this in an effort to try his damnedest to stop the bleeding. I think he also knows this year is likely it and wants to leave SC with decent talent.
