- Spurrier on how long he will continue coaching the Gamecocks: "A lot of things keep me at South Carolina. My family is all there except for one daughter in Panama City. All the other kids and grandkids are (in Columbia). Two of my sons are on the staff (Steve Jr. and Scott). South Carolina is a wonderful place. We have some momentum. We're not picked very high this year, which is good. We were overpicked last year."
