Tickets for Troops Charities?

Im only going to be able to make the Notre Dame game this year, so I was planning on donating the remaining home game tickets (minus GT and FSU, which I will try and sell) to a charity for Troops. Tax write off?

Has anyone done this and have a experience with a reputable charity?

I found Vettix.org on google, but I thought Id ask if anyone has actually had any experience with another Charity.
