Vienna (Ga.) Dooly County four-star defensive end Antonneous Clayton is not expected to make the trip Saturday for Clemson’s game with Notre Dame, as we have previously reported.
Clayton (6-4, 218), ranked No. 42 nationally by Rivals.com, stated during the summer plans to attend this weekend’s game.
Those intentions were confirmed again last week by his trainer, who oversees Clayton’s recruitment and provides his travel.
Clayton visited Florida last weekend and exited that stop talking about returning to Gainesville again this weekend for its game against Ole Miss, with Florida and Auburn sticking out as his leaders over Oregon and Clemson.
In talking with multiple sources this week, TigerIllustrated.com has learned that Clemson no longer expects Clayton to be among the visiting cast of prospects.
