Trump Cleared

Ok guys. Interested to hear your feedback. Not trying to claim anything other than findings of Mueller report. How do you feel about this and does it change your viewpoint of Trump Presidency and his performance so far?
I haven't read anything except that others have said it recommends no more indictments and that it found no collusion. Its a big deal of course. Does it change my mind concerning the Trump presidency? In what way? I didn't suspect they'd find collusion with Russia, and this wasn't a surprise.
I always want whats best for America. I still am of the opinion that Trump is a disaster happening in plain sight.

Fair enough. You do not like the way that Trump runs the country and that's ok. I was wondering if the Russia charges were tipping your opinion away from Trump where otherwise you might support his policies.

I've posted this in a couple of other threads, but will do it here as well. I've said all along that I trusted Mueller to find the truth. If he says that there's no collusion, then I absolutely believe him. I'm assuming that the AG is telling the truth here... I seriously doubt that he'd lie about that. I was wrong for thinking that President Trump was working with the Russians to get elected. You'll never hear another word about it from me.

It absolutely does change my viewpoint of Trump for the better. I was seriously concerned that the Russians were working with the President of the US to further their own ends. That's a really scary thing and as @firegiver says, it's a pretty big relief that he's not.

As for his performance. It's mixed IMHO. Obviously, he gets very high marks on the economy. On the boarder wall and his treatment of refugees and illegals, he gets very poor marks. His foreign policy makes me crazy, but I can't condemn him for it either. Our problems with other countries (NK, Russia, China, Israel, Iran, NATO) have been around for decades, he may not fix them, but at least he's trying something different. As an example, his son in law working on peace in the Middle East is a joke, but on the other hand every "expert" we've had over there has failed too. Which is sadder? I don't know, but the result is the same, so I don't see how anyone can honestly bitch about it too much.

I've never liked Donald Trump and I never will. This is a guy who has spent his entire life promoting and looking after himself. I find the thought that he all of a sudden is MAGA laughable. Donald Trump works for the betterment of Donald Trump. Period. It's always been that way, always will be. If the interests of the US and Donald Trump are the same, I believe that the country will be in good shape. If they aren't, then I fully believe that Trump will look after number 1 and America can look after itself as far as he's concerned. That's the way he rolls.

I am going to need to hear more details before I make any judgments in regards to my thoughts on the Trump Presidency as a whole, though things like his lack of understanding basic economics I am relatively firm on. For all Americans it is good news if collusion is off the table.

Very happy to hear that the sitting president of the US is not colluding with a foreign power. I still want to know though... Mueller's report exonerated Trump on collusion, but it also proved that the russians intervened in our election on trump's behalf. Why? Did they know that he would not stand up to Putin (the way he displayed in Helsinki)?

On obstruction, still more to come on that. The dems will fight to get the report. Just b/c Mueller did not indict trump, does not mean there isnt enough in the report to impeach trump. remember, clinton was never indicted for lying, but impeached. I dont necessarily even want trump impeached honestly, but there is information in there that voters need to know.

As far as trump's presidency... there isnt much I can give him credit for. I would give him credit for ISIS if he had not incorrectly claimed they were 100% defeated twice. He is running up the deficit to unprecedented levels. he has completely removed environmental protections. The wall is stupid. I cant wait to vote him out.
