Interesting take on the Treason and Sedition arguments against Cruz, etc:
The presenter is obviously anti-Trump and probably leans left but he makes some good points and is typically balanced in his reviews that I have seen. This would be regarding a criminal trial, not impeachment (which is gonna be a clown show and will be a vote pretty much along party lines, regardless of guilt).
Basically the politician they would have the best shot at a Sedition charge against is Bobert (sp?). Her tweet about Pelosi being moved from the chamber could be an issue, but then again you have to make the case that she was tweeting that in cooperation with the rioters, and not just "to communicate how serious the situation was."
Bottom line is that prosecuting any politician on Treason or Sedition - based on what we know at the moment - would be really tough.
Removal from office (for the Senators/MOC) would be tough as well because (IIRC) there is requirement for a 2/3 majority vote to remove. Neither party has that in either chamber. And barring something egregious, you know any vote on it will be split mostly across party lines.
