As most of you know, I was an Independent that supported Hillary. I'm just curious as to how you are feeling about Trump so far. I've noticed a bit of a difference between what he said during the campaign and what he's saying now.
1. Then: Deport all Illegals. Now: Start with the criminals then worry about the rest
2. Then: Build a wall and Mexico Pays for it Now: Will settle for a fence in places (no word on Mexico paying)
3. Then: Lock her up. Now: Doesn't want to hurt them (the Clintons), they are good people.
4. Then: Repeal Obama Care (a disaster) Now: Wants to keep parts of it.
5. Then: Climate change is a Chinese Hoax. Now: Thinks humans contribute to climate change in some way.
6. Then: Against gay marriage (will appoint SC Justices to repeal). Now: Doesn't have a problem with it (SC has decided the issue)
7. Then: Blind trust for all his businesses (to avoid conflict of interests) Now: Quote: "In theory I could run my business perfectly and then run the country perfectly" -- notice which comes first... not that that couldn't be totally innocent.
Just curious if any of you are concerned at all. Seems like a LOT of backpedaling before he's even sworn in. @amynhop... hey hon. This is totally NOT calling you out. But I'm not going to even bother posting this in the West Zone, so I wanted you to see it and I'm interested in your opinion.
Again, Trump is my president now and I'm rooting for him to succeed. In fact, I approve of every one of the "clarifications" above except for #7 (and that one is completely expected) . I know that most of the posters here are way more conservative than I am, so I'm just curious as to how this is sitting with you all.
